Our Insulation Health Check is a flat-rate, standalone evaluation where our team returns about a year after installation to verify everything is working as intended — mapping temperatures across your attic, logging humidity, checking for hidden moisture, and confirming the details that are easy to skip but critical to performance.

If another company did your work and you’re not sure it was done right — or you’ve noticed a musty smell, uneven temperatures, or higher-than-expected bills — this evaluation gives you an honest, independent read. What We Check
Attic temperature mapping. We measure temperatures across different zones of your attic — near the ridge, the eaves, the gable ends, and around penetrations — to confirm your insulation is holding a consistent environment rather than leaving hot or cold spots.
Humidity and moisture readings. We log relative humidity in the attic and living areas, and check for moisture where it matters most. For spray foam roofs, that means the moisture content of the roof sheathing. For blown-in attics, we check for humidity and condensation issues against the sheetrock ceiling plane below the insulation — a common early sign of air leakage or inadequate coverage.
Air sealing verification. Insulation only works if the air sealing underneath it was done right. We check the details that are easy to cut short — sealing around recessed lights, top plates, exhaust fans, and other penetrations — since gaps here quietly undermine even a thick layer of insulation.
Thermal imaging. We use infrared imaging to reveal what the eye can’t — gaps, thin spots, missed coverage, and areas where heat and air are moving through the assembly. This is the clearest way to see whether the work was applied evenly and completely.

A written report documenting our findings, including:
- Temperature readings mapped by attic zone
- Relative humidity readings from the attic and home
- Moisture readings where accessible (roof sheathing for foam; ceiling plane for blown-in)
- Air sealing findings around fixtures and penetrations
- Thermal images showing coverage, gaps, and problem areas
- Plain-language notes on what’s performing well, what to watch, and what (if anything) we’d recommend addressing
